My Story…

People often ask what sparked my interest in integrative medicine, and while there's no single life-changing story, my journey began in childhood. Fascinated by the body’s natural healing abilities, I fondly remember the small space given by my dad to cultivate my own herbal garden alongside his vegetable garden. I used these herbs to create essential oil remedies for neighbors and even found inventive ways to incorporate them into our already flavorful Indian cuisine, much to my parents' amusement.

Other childhood memories include spending time with my grandparents and observing their very intentional daily routines in India. I later came to realize that my grandfather managed a good healthspan despite an early diagnosis of Type 1 diabetes because of these habits. These memorable encounters have shaped the way I view medicine, epigenetics and healing.

While my traditional allopathic training as an anesthesiologist taught me to optimize vital signs and manage pain through nerve blocks, I was increasingly drawn to integrative and precision medicine after witnessing the challenges faced by patients with chronic diseases. Inspired and mentored by pioneers in the science of aging, movement, hormones and preventative health, I've embraced a data-driven approach layered with nuance, wisdom and creativity.

As a physician, I continue to pursue the latest innovations, believing there's no better investment than in one's health.  I am always striving to be the best and most curious version of me and I encourage all of you to do the same. Afterall, there is no better time to invest in your health and remember, TODAY is the youngest you will ever be!
